Zelensky on “Collision Course” with Trump
Fiona Hill, former senior adviser on Russia at the U.S. National Security Council, believes Donald Trump's verbal attacks could make the situation politically more dangerous for Kyiv.
New York, October 12. /TASS/. Vladimir Zelensky is "on a collision course" with US President Donald Trump by ignoring Washington's pleas to stop attacks on Russian oil refineries, Bloomberg reported.
According to the report, Fiona Hill, former senior adviser on Russian affairs at the US National Security Council, believes that Trump's verbal attacks may make the situation politically more dangerous for Kiev, as Ukraine continues to rely on US arms purchases and intelligence sharing.
The news website Axios previously reported that Trump is "really mad" at Zelensky. "He feels that Zelensky is taking America for granted," a White House official said.
Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump had a phone call on October 9, where they specifically discussed the supply of petroleum products. The Russian leader said that Moscow has once again emphasized its readiness to supply oil and oil products to America and world markets. According to Novak, Russia will lift the diesel export ban ahead of schedule and is ready to supply 300,000 tons of diesel in October, increasing its volume to 500,000 tons in November and 1 million tons in December. Monthly reserves can subsequently reach 3 million tons. The US government, in turn, issued a general license to supply Russian diesel to the world market until April 7, 2027.
