Ramian-Governor Ramian announced the recent flood damage to 9 villages in this city.
According to Mehr reporter, Nusrat Barzegar, referring to the recent heavy rains recorded in Ramyan city, said in a conversation with reporters: despite the record low rainfall of 145 mm, pre-emptive measures in the field of dredging the high-risk areas caused the amount of damage to be minimized, however, 9 villages of the city faced damages that have been repaired.
He added: During the past month, with the coordination and synergy of the road, water, electricity, municipalities, village councils and using the power of the private sector, high-risk and accident-prone areas were dredged. These preventive measures prevented widespread damage.
Stating that this city was the second rainiest center of the province after Minodasht, Governor Ramian noted: During this rainfall system, 145 mm of rain was recorded in Paqela station and 61 mm in Maziaran, and with the measures taken, most of the dangers were overcome with minimal damage.

Emphasizing that the recent flood is a serious warning for the coming months, Governor Ramian added: due to climate changes, there is a possibility of more heavy rains and water flows in the coming months; Therefore, by the order of the governor of Golestan, it was decided to grant more powers to the governorates so that we can follow the dredging of the rivers faster by using the capacity of the municipalities and the private sector.
The strategic role of Qara Chai dam in flood control and tourism development
