Mining Monitoring System Serves as a Tool for Financial Transparency and Protecting Public Rights

Zanjan – Zanjan Province's Inspector General, stressing the need to complete the smart oversight process for mines, said the mine monitoring system is a tool for financial transparency and for preventing the violation of public rights.

According to Mehr reporter, Sajjad Dede Jani, at the opening ceremony of the Zanjan mining line monitoring system, pointed out the importance of using modern technologies in monitoring mining activities and stated: The launch of smart systems has made it possible to monitor the performance of operators and transport operators more closely, and by increasing transparency, it has reduced an important part of the past problems and challenges in this area.

He added: The mining monitoring system has created an effective capacity in areas such as payment of road tolls, collection of government rights, taxes and fair distribution of burdens, and its continued activity can help improve monitoring processes and prevent violations.

Deh Deh Jani added: Connecting all mines and transportation companies to the monitoring system plays an important role in clarifying financial exchanges, fair distribution of cargo, preventing the destruction of roads and collecting legal rights of the government, and the responsible agencies must follow the full implementation of this plan seriously.

The Inspector General of Zanjan Province pointed out the necessity of collecting the government's legal demands from the mining sector and stated: The issue of receiving one percent of mining rights is one of the issues that have been followed up in the past years, and considering the significant amount of financial resources related to it, there should be no failure to fulfill the legal duties of the responsible bodies.

Emphasizing that the resources resulting from mining activities are related to public rights and public finances, Deh Deh Jani said: The trustees must prevent the destruction of these resources with continuous monitoring and effective follow-up, and in case of failure to fulfill legal duties, they should follow up the matter through the foreseen paths.

Completing the system by connecting all mining operators

He stated that the full utilization of the capacity of the mining monitoring system depends on the participation of all the activists of this sector, and noted that all mines and transport companies must be connected to this system so that related activities can be carried out within the framework of legal regulations and the possibility of comprehensive monitoring of the process of mining and transportation of minerals is provided.

The inspector general of Zanjan province continued: the access of the activists of this area for registration and legal activity should be provided so that with the spread of the system, the field of fair distribution of burden, financial transparency and effective monitoring of the payment of tolls and government rights will be strengthened.

He added: The full implementation of monitoring systems, in addition to helping to protect public resources, can be effective in preventing the destruction of roads due to the transportation of minerals and better directing the economic capacities of this sector towards the construction and development of the province.

Pointing out that all mining operators do not have the same approach to the establishment of monitoring systems, Deh Deh Jani stated: while some activists welcome this plan, some may resist its implementation; Therefore, it is necessary to remove existing obstacles using legal capacities.

He emphasized: The responsible institutions should provide the basis for the full implementation of the regulations with continuous coordination and follow-up, and in cases where there is resistance to the implementation of the law, they should use the capacity of the Security Council and the judicial system.

The inspector general of Zanjan province noted: The development of intelligent monitoring of mining activities will achieve favorable results when all the trustees and activists in this area adhere to the legal requirements and work together to prevent the violation of public rights.
