Education Minister: Educational Justice Cannot Be Achieved Without Quality Improvement

QOM – The Minister of Education, stressing the need to improve the quality of teaching and training, said educational justice requires equal access for students to quality education, capable teachers, and the strengthening of national and religious identity.

According to Mehr reporter, Alireza Kazemi said in a video message to the 28th Qom Province School Donors Festival on Thursday morning: Along with the development of justice in access to education, students should also be provided with equal access to high-quality education, and this issue should not be neglected in educational planning.

Pointing to the need to pay more attention to quality in the education system, he added: In the country's school building benefactors, a school commission has been formed and the existing capacities are used, but it is expected that the improvement of education quality will be more seriously focused on.

Referring to the president's attention to education issues, Kazemi said: The president's special focus on issues in this field is a valuable opportunity for the country's education system, and I appreciate it.

He continued: The president has shown his concerns in this field by spending considerable time and holding more than 100 meetings on education issues, and one of his most important concerns is improving the quality of education.

Capable and motivated teachers improve the quality of education

Emphasizing the role of teachers in improving the quality of education, the Minister of Education stated: Teachers are one of the main pillars of the quality of education and their motivation, social status and proper livelihood should be taken into consideration.

He added: The country's education system needs capable teachers who have sufficient knowledge, insight and skills, and have the necessary motivation to carry out their responsibilities in addition to professional capability.

Kazemi pointed out: Capable and motivated teachers can provide the basis for improving the quality of education in addition to the plans made in the field of educational content, curriculum, extracurricular activities and educational programs.

Referring to the various dimensions of the mission of education, he said: the realization of educational justice is not only limited to providing access to school, but students having equal opportunities to learn and benefit from high-quality education should also be followed in policies and executive programs.

The national and religious identity of students is strengthened

In another part of his speech, the Minister of Education considered the strengthening of national and religious identity as one of the most important concerns of the education system and stated: Planning in educational, cultural and sports fields can play an effective role in strengthening the identity of students.

Referring to the social capacities of the country, he added: the widespread presence of people in the streets and squares and the formation of popular communities have provided a valuable opportunity for educational activities, which should be used for the growth and promotion of the national and religious identity of students.

Referring to the special position of the city of Qom and the Holy Shrine of Ahl al-Bayt (AS), Kazemi said: the spiritual and religious capacities of Qom can be used in educational programs and provide the basis for strengthening the religious beliefs and spiritual identity of the future generation.
