Electricity Trading on Energy Exchange Surpasses 100 Hemat

Registered electricity trading volume across the Energy Exchange's various boards passed 68 billion kWh, worth 100 hemat.

According to the report of Ambassador Arjan, the volume of transactions registered in different panels of the Energy Exchange, including normal, green, free and self-supplying panels, exceeded 68 billion kilowatt-hours and its value exceeded 100 thousand billion Tomans since the beginning of this year. The variety of trading boards and the possibility of supply and distribution with different energy carriers have provided the basis for the expansion of the participation of economic actors and the development of market-based tools.

Of the volume of electricity exchange, 2.3 billion kilowatt-hours are related to the green panel, 5.3 billion kilowatt-hours are in the free panel, 4.3 billion kilowatt-hours are in the self-supplied panel and 56 billion kilowatt-hours are in the normal panel of the energy exchange.

In terms of the value of electricity exchange, 213 thousand billion Rials are in the green panel, 477 thousand billion Rials in the free panel, 125 thousand billion Rials in the self-supplied panel and 192 thousand billion Rials in the normal panel of the energy exchange.

Also, since the beginning of this year, the average price has been 91 thousand Rials per kilowatt hour in the green panel, 88 thousand Rials per kilowatt hour in the free panel, 28.8 thousand Rials per kilowatt hour in the self supply panel and 3.4 thousand Rials per kilowatt hour in the normal panel of the Energy Exchange.

The crossing of the value of electricity transactions in the energy exchange over the 100 hemat limit can be seen as a sign of the increasing importance of market-oriented mechanisms in the electricity economy; The continuation of which, along with the development of financial instruments and deepening of the market, can help strengthen the transparency and efficiency of exchanges in the country's energy sector.
