The health of the people and livestock of Kermanshah is the red line of veterinary supervision

The governor of Kermanshah said: In the field of people's health, no compromise is acceptable and health monitoring should be continuous, regular and complete. Any negligence in this field can endanger the health of society.

According to the reporter of the Ambassador of Arjan in Kermanshah Province, Manochehar Habibi visited the General Directorate of Veterinary Medicine of the province this Saturday in line with the headquarters supervision plan, while congratulating the Veterinary Week and appreciating the efforts of this group, he said: Veterinary medicine is directly related to both the health of the people and the economy of the society, and for this reason, the responsibility of this area is of special importance and sensitivity.

Referring to the agricultural and animal husbandry capacities of Kermanshah, he added: the annual production of about five and a half million tons of agricultural products and the possession of about four and a half million livestock units have given the province an important position in ensuring the country's food security. Kermanshah has a significant contribution in the production of meat, chicken, milk and other protein products, and the protection of these capacities requires the careful and continuous efforts of the veterinary complex.

The governor of Kermanshah stated that the border of the province doubles the necessity of intensifying health care, and clarified: the smallest disturbance in the livestock and poultry sector can have extensive economic and health consequences; Therefore, we must protect the province's livestock resources with high sensitivity and not allow preventable problems to turn into major losses.

Emphasizing the necessity of timely provision of medicine, treatment and livestock vaccines, Habibi said: In the field of veterinary medicine, time is very important and delay in treatment and vaccination may cause the disease to spread and cause heavy losses to livestock farmers. Unlike some construction projects that can be postponed, in this field, necessary actions cannot be postponed.

He added: timely provision of funds needed for medicine and vaccination should be pursued seriously, and the management and planning organization of the province should also cooperate to remove the credit barriers of this sector so that veterinary services can be provided without interruption in emergency situations.

In another part of his speech, the Governor of Kermanshah considered the supervision of slaughterhouses, mortuary and packaging units to be one of the important duties of veterinary medicine and stated: In the field of people's health, no compromise is acceptable and health supervision should be continuous, regular and complete. Any negligence in this field can endanger the health of society.

Emphasizing the priority of prevention over treatment, Habibi stated: monitoring and health care should be done before problems occur and at all stages of activity of related units; Because late treatment, in addition to reducing the effectiveness of measures, imposes more costs on the executive group and society.

Referring to the necessity of developing slaughterhouse infrastructure in the province, he said: Considering the limited financial resources of the government, the presence and investment of the private sector in the construction and development of slaughterhouses should be provided. Facilitating and accelerating the issuance of licenses, providing necessary guidance and introducing investment priorities can encourage the private sector to enter this field.

The governor of Kermanshah also stated about the organization of unauthorized slaughterhouses: it is necessary to deal with this phenomenon, but executive actions must be accompanied by culture and awareness. Scholars, Friday imams and Sunni and Shiite elders can play an effective role in explaining the importance of observing health principles and attracting people's support.

He added: Along with the organization of these units, the livelihood and employment status of the people who work in this sector should also be taken into consideration and suitable alternative solutions should be provided for them so that the organization plan will be successful with the greater support of the community.

The governor of Kermanshah also pointed to the issue of housing for veterinary staff and said: the list of qualified staff, whose form is green, should be prepared so that it is possible to follow up on the provision of land and help solve the housing concerns of these colleagues.

At the end, Habibi appreciated the efforts of the veterinary department of the province and noted that protecting people's health, protecting livestock and supporting producers is an important and common responsibility and it is expected that all related departments will take steps towards providing food security and promoting the health of society with greater coordination, speed of action and sensitivity.
