The price of paper fell by millions
In the last week, the market of paper and printing supplies showed a decrease in the price of writing paper and a slight drop in the price of some types of paper and cardboard.
Sefir Arjan Culture and Publishing Service of Iran (Sefir Arjan), the market of paper and printing supplies has witnessed a decrease in the prices of some products in recent days; So that the price of each piece of writing paper has decreased by about one million tomans and this trend, although more limited, can also be seen in the market of key paper and cardboard.
The investigation of the reporter of Safir Arjan on the prices of Zahirul Islam market shows that each 70 gram piece of writing paper in 70 x 100 pieces is sold at a price of 8,600,000 Tomans and in 60 x 90, pieces at a price of 7,600,000 Tomans. Also, the price of each piece of writing paper of 80 grams in 70 x 100 pieces is about 10 million and 800 thousand Tomans and in 60 x 90 pieces it is about 9 million and 800 thousand Tomans. Wrench paper is also priced at around one million tomans in the market.
In the cardboard market, each kilogram of inner board costs about 500 thousand tomans and glossy cardboard costs about 470 thousand tomans. These figures show that the reduction of prices in parts of the printing and publishing raw materials market, although it can reduce some of the cost pressure on buyers, has not yet spread to all items in this field.
Improving transactions by lowering prices
Referring to the market situation in recent days, Hamid Nikdel, the head of the Paper and Cardboard Union, in a conversation with Arjan's ambassador, said: "With the decrease in prices over the past week, we have witnessed an opening in activities and a boom in buying and selling, and the market situation has improved; So that buyers have come to the market again.
Referring to the effect of the reopening of schools and universities on the activities of paper sellers, he added: In these days, the activities of paper market activists have flourished. According to Nikdel, the second half of every year is usually associated with increased activity in the field of publication and production of printing and publishing products, and it is hoped that the decrease in the price of paper will also help to continue this trend this year.
In addition to paper and cardboard, the price of composites and other essentials used in the printing industry is among the factors affecting the production costs of printed products. According to the prices announced by the sellers, the price of Iranian cold glue is about 432 thousand tomans and hot glue is about 620 thousand tomans. On the other hand, the price of isopropyl alcohol has increased and the price of each kilogram has reached 1 million and 100 thousand tomans.
Also, each kilogram of Iranian gloss color ink costs about 1 million 850 thousand Tomans and black gloss ink costs about 1 million 420 thousand Tomans, Tahrir color ink is also available at a price of 1 million 525 thousand Tomans and black writing ink is available at a price of 1 million 180 thousand Tomans. The price of foreign composites varies from about 2,600,000 tomans to 3,700,000 tomans depending on the brand and quality.
Zinc, as another essential item in the printing process, is available in the market at different prices; Based on this, the price of two-sheet zinc is about 980 thousand to one million and 150 thousand tomans and four-and-a-half-sheet zinc is about 2 million 500 thousand to two million and 980 thousand tomans.
price stability; The main demand of the activists of the publishing industry
It can be said that the recent decrease in the price of writing paper and the relative improvement of transactions can be a sign of greater mobility of the printing and publishing market; However, the difference in price trends among different items shows that the market is still facing fluctuations and uncertainties.
The stability of the price of raw materials is one of the main demands of the activists of the printing and publishing industry; Because the constant fluctuation of the price of paper, cardboard, ink and other essentials makes it difficult to plan for production, estimate costs and adjust the price of final products; Therefore, the continuation of price reduction along with the relative stability of the market can play an effective role in improving the working conditions of publishers, printers and other activists in this field.
The stability of the price of raw materials is one of the most important prerequisites for planning and continuous activity in the printing and publishing industry. Publishers, printers and paper market operators need a predictable vision of the market situation to adjust production plans, estimate costs and determine the final price of their products; A subject that is accompanied by difficulty in the conditions of constant price fluctuations.
A sudden increase or decrease in the price of paper, cardboard, ink and other printing essentials, in addition to directly affecting production costs, can affect decisions about the number of prints, the time of publication and even the supply of new products. In such a situation, publishers and printing houses have to constantly review their plans to manage costs; A problem that can disrupt the process of production and supply of cultural products.
In addition, the fluctuation of the price of raw materials will eventually affect the price of books and other printed products and may increase the cost of the audience's access to these products. From this point of view, stability in the market of paper and printing supplies is not only the demand of union activists, but it can also play a role in maintaining the production capacity of publishers, the continuity of printing houses and supporting the audience's access to books and cultural products.
Based on this, the recent reduction in the price of paper can lead to a sustainable improvement in market conditions if it is accompanied by relative stability of prices and the possibility of continuous supply of raw materials. In order to overcome the fluctuating conditions of the market, printing and publishing industry activists need more than anything a predictable environment so that they can more confidently plan for the production, publication and supply of their products. The continuation of such conditions can be the basis for a more stable market boom and strengthening of cultural and publishing activities in the country.
