The strangest memory in history: the head coach at the exorcism ceremony!

Craig Lewin, the former head coach of Scotland, narrated one of the strangest and most incredible memories in the history of football.

In 2006, after being sacked by Leicester City, who were in the relegation zone of the Championship at the time, Lewin temporarily took charge of his beloved childhood club, Raith Rovers, in the second division of Scotland.

At the same time, the club were trying to bring their defender Marvin Andrews back to the team, with Gordon Brown, the then finance minister and a well-known fan of the club, a key supporter of the move.

It all started with a phone call and the British politician asked the head coach to meet. Levin explains the story like this: - I went by car and parked. The next moment, three Range Rover vehicles entered the parking lot. "The window of one of the cars rolled down and Brown told me to get in his car to go see Marvin."

The motorcade headed straight for the church Andrews was attending, but they unwittingly walked into a strange ceremony. Levine says, "We walked in and we ran right into the night they were casting out the demons. People would go on the stage, the priest would put his hand on their head and push people to fall to the ground with screams and moans. I was standing there thinking to myself, what is going on here? "I came to see Marvin, but there were six people lying on the floor around me."

Despite this unbelievable and surreal atmosphere, this strange meeting was not without results and the club was finally able to finalize the contract of this defender from Trinidad and Tobago. Marvin Andrews was able to play 41 games and score 8 goals in his second season at Wright Rovers.

Less than a year later, Gordon Brown succeeded Tony Blair as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, making this strange memory an interesting link between the worlds of politics and football.
