Hamedan – The Director of the Hamedan Province Agricultural Towns Company announced the planning and start of preparations to build a specialized cut-flower greenhouse town on the 'Behraz' lands of Asadabad, with investment exceeding 15,000 billion rials.

According to the report of Ambassador Arjan Amir Abbas Kordian, on Tuesday morning in a group of reporters, referring to the investment details of the specialized greenhouse town in Asadabad, he stated: This specialized town will be built on a land of 40 hectares and with the provision of 200,000 cubic meters of water.

He added: According to the approach of developing the export of agricultural products, the design of this complex has been done using fully automatic glass greenhouses to produce cut flowers with international standards.

The director of Hamadan province's agricultural settlements company stated that this project will be implemented in three operational phases and stated: With the completion and final exploitation of this complex, direct employment will be provided for about 200 to 250 people, which will be an important step in the direction of strengthening the agricultural economy of the region and increasing the province's export capacity.

He also stated about the formation process of this project: The implementation of this national plan was put on the agenda following an agreement between Dr. Dawood Asgari, a member of the faculty of Bo Ali Sina University, and the governor of Hamedan, which finally provided a legal and executive basis for the establishment of a specialized town for the production and export of ornamental flowers by concluding an agreement with the Agricultural Towns Company.

In the end, Kordian said: We hope that with the exploitation of this greenhouse town, Hamedan province will become one of the production and export centers of cut flowers in the country, and new and sustainable job opportunities will be created for young people and experts in this field in Asadabad city.
