Creative Industries Must Become Engines of Wealth Creation and Exports

Isfahan – The Governor of Isfahan said that by linking technology, cultural identity and innovation, creative industries can become engines of wealth creation, sustainable employment and the presence of Iranian products in global markets.

According to Mehr reporter, Mehdi Jamalinejad, on Tuesday morning, at the opening ceremony of the Manvin National Creative Industries event, which is being held in Isfahan under the auspices of the Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy of the Presidency, considered creative industries as one of the important capacities for wealth creation, sustainable employment and presence in global markets, and stated: The era of measuring the wealth of nations based on the volume of raw materials and physical resources is over, and today countries have an economic advantage that rely on imagination, innovation and the ability to transform ideas into products and services.

He stated that the national event of Manvin creative industries was organized by the efforts of the presidential vice president for science, technology and knowledge-based economy, and added: creative industries are not a marginal part of the economy, but an effective field in generating wealth, creating sustainable job opportunities and expanding social participation; An arena that can provide a wider presence of youth and women in economic activities.

Referring to the global capacity of the creative economy, the governor of Isfahan stated: the advantage of this area is not limited to its economic value, but the inclusiveness and the possibility of entering diverse talents into the production and business cycle has made it one of the important job creation paths for the young generation.

Emphasizing the necessity of linking technology with Iranian culture and identity, Jamalinejad stated: Technology alone is not enough to attract the audience and conquer global markets; This technology can be effective when it is formed on the basis of spirit, meaning, identity and cultural taste. Iranian identity and Isfahani art can provide a distinctive content for creative products and services and increase their competitiveness in international markets.

Referring to the historical capacity of Isfahan in connecting art, architecture, economy and social life, he added: Naqshjahan Square is an example of the coexistence of high art, eye-catching architecture and economic dynamism. A historical experience that shows that cultural creativity, if linked with economic activity, can lead to the creation of value and wealth.

Stating that future markets pay more attention to authenticity and cultural narrative than in the past, the governor of Isfahan continued: Iran has a wide capacity of stories, arts and cultural heritage that can be marketed in the form of innovative products. Handicrafts, needlework, calligraphy, carpets, poetry and other manifestations of Iranian culture should not be seen only as a preserved heritage in museums, but these capacities are part of the living identity of Iranian civilization and can be used in the design of modern products, game making and cultural industries.

Emphasizing the necessity of linking cultural heritage with modern technologies, Jamalinejad said: the capacity of Iranian art and tradition has the possibility to be recreated in the form of creative products and services and enter the international markets. Such an approach can provide the basis for the formation of new businesses and increase the economic value of domestic products while maintaining cultural authenticity.

Pointing to the need to change the approach of the executive bodies in dealing with innovative businesses, he stated: the governance system should move away from the position of mere supervision and play the role of supporting, facilitating and encouraging entrepreneurs. The courage and innovative ideas of young people should not be stopped in administrative processes; The task of executive bodies is to smooth the path of economic activity and provide the possibility of turning ideas into products and services.

Pointing to the capacity of the knowledge-based production jump law, Isfahan Governor added: a direct connection should be established between the legal capacity to support the knowledge-based economy and the real needs of design studios, creative workshops, game makers and cultural industry activists so that legal support becomes tangible opportunities for production, business development and entering the market.

Emphasizing that Manvin should not become an event limited to Isfahan, Jamalinejad said: Creative industries need the capacities of all the provinces of the country and the synergy between the cultural, artistic and technological capabilities of different regions can provide the basis for the formation of a national movement in this area.

Referring to the export capacity of creative products and services, he said: Exporting creative services can be a way for the direct presence of Iranian talents in the international economy. Products and ideas that are formed based on knowledge, art and innovation are not necessarily dependent on the movement of physical goods to cross borders and can expand the reach of Iranian businesses to global markets.

The governor of Isfahan also considered the creative economy as having capacities for sustainable development and said: This sector can create new economic opportunities by relying on human capital, knowledge, art and the ability to create value, and compared to activities that rely on the extensive consumption of natural resources, it can provide a more favorable environment for the development of activities that have a low impact on the environment.

Emphasizing the role of humanities in the formation of innovative businesses, Jamalinejad added: Iranian art, history, literature and wisdom should find a more effective connection with the country's startup ecosystem; Because Iran's cultural content and intellectual capacities can become one of the important sources of ideas, product design and creative service development.

Referring to the role of provincial and city administrations in the development of this area, he clarified: executive bodies and local administrations can help the development of the market of these businesses by using the capacity to purchase creative products and services and providing the presence of innovative companies in urban and national projects.

The governor of Isfahan emphasized: opening the path of cooperation between idea owners, creative companies and executive bodies, in addition to creating real demand for innovative products, can lead to increasing business opportunities and strengthening the position of creative industries in the country's economy.

In the end, referring to the capacity of the young generation in shaping the economic future of Iran, he said: the future of the country is not only dependent on its proud past, but by relying on the knowledge, motivation, creativity and ability of the youth, new horizons of progress, wealth creation and effective presence in the global economy can be drawn.
