According to ICT News; On October 12, 2026 (20 Mehr 1405), the CMF brand unveiled two new portable speakers named CMF Speaker S and CMF Speaker M. These products, which are the first products of CMF after separating from Nothing and becoming an independent Indian company, have a geometric design, support for Bluetooth 6 and IP68 certification against water and dust penetration.

With a 45mm driver and two passive radiators, the Speaker S model offers 10W RMS power and a frequency response of 70Hz to 20kHz. The Speaker M model has a 70 mm 25 W woofer and a 16 mm 10 W tweeter, a total power of 35 W RMS and a frequency response of 60 Hz to 20 kHz.

Both speakers are equipped with the Adaptive Tuning algorithm, which analyzes the content being played in real time and optimizes the output and equalizer settings.

The battery of both models lasts up to 18 hours of continuous playback with 50% volume and Ultra Bass active. A 10-minute charge is enough for an hour of playback. The battery capacity of Speaker S is 2,600 mAh and Speaker M is 4,900 mAh. Fully charging Speaker S takes about 2.5 hours and Speaker M takes about 3 hours.

CMF speakers support Bluetooth 6.0 with a range of more than 100 meters outdoors. NFC connection for quick pairing, Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair and simultaneous connection of two devices are also available in these products. USB-C audio input is also provided for wired connection.

Stereo mode allows connecting two speakers of the same model, and Party mode based on Auracast technology enables synchronization with other compatible speakers.

The speakers are equipped with a touch rotary button on the front of the body, which controls play and stop, song change and volume adjustment. Holding this button for two seconds will enable or disable the Ultra Bass mode.

The speakers' faceplate and rotary knob are interchangeable, and CMF has provided users with STL files for 3D printing custom designs. The design of these products was inspired by the milk box.

Through the Nothing X application, users have access to four sound profiles: Balanced, More Bass, More Treble and Voice, and can customize the equalizer. Sound modes such as Ultra Bass and Wide Soundstage can also be activated in this way.

Speaker S weighs 334 grams and measures 130.5 x 85 x 44 mm, and Speaker M weighs 602 grams and measures 220 x 85 x 54 mm.

The price of the Speaker S model is $59 (£49 in the UK) and the Speaker M model is $109 (£99). Available in four colors: white, dark gray, orange and turquoise.

The introduction of CMF speakers represents an important strategic change in the brand's approach. Formerly known as the budget sub-brand of Nothing, CMF is now expanding its product portfolio beyond phones and headphones by becoming an independent company.

The smart thing in the design of these products is the combination of affordable price with remarkable technical specifications. Bluetooth 6.0 support, IP68 certification, and 18-hour battery life in a $59 speaker make it a competitive option in the portable speaker market.

The possibility of customizing the design through STL files and 3D printing is also an interesting innovation that allows users to personalize their speaker. This approach fits perfectly with CMF's design philosophy, which focuses on simplicity and customization.

However, the main challenge of these products is to compete with established brands such as JBL and Bose, which have a strong presence in the portable speaker market. CMF's success in this market depends on the brand's ability to win users' trust and provide competitive audio quality.

All in all, CMF speakers are designed for users looking for a portable speaker with a distinctive design, decent specs, and an affordable price. If CMF can deliver the promised sound quality in practice, it could gain a significant share of the budget speaker market.
