Seizure of vessels carrying smuggled fuel in Qeshm

The head of the Qeshm Naval Base announced the seizure of 4 vessels carrying smuggled fuel in Qeshm city.

According to Ambassador Arjan, Colonel Javad Mirzaei announced this news and stated: Border guards of Qeshm Navy were informed about the activities of fuel smugglers in the security area by carrying out information measures and immediately sent to the place to investigate the issue of maritime patrol teams of this unit.

He added: Border guards managed to discover 10,320 liters of gasoline and diesel after patrolling in the declared position.

In conclusion, the supervisor of the Qeshm Naval Base, referring to the arrest of 10 smugglers, said: 4 vessels have been seized.

He pointed out that the value of discovered fuels, including seized vessels, is estimated at 51 billion and 848 million rials.
