Moscow: Bashar al-Assad's Political Asylum Will Never Be Revoked

Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister stressed that Moscow's decision to grant political asylum to Bashar al-Assad is irreversible.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia emphasized that Moscow's decision to grant political asylum to Bashar al-Assad is irreversible.

According to Ambassador Arjan, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia emphasized that Moscow's decision to grant political asylum to Bashar al-Assad, the former president of Syria, is final and irreversible, and the current authorities in Damascus are also aware of this issue.

According to Russia Elium, Giorgi Borysenko said in an interview with this media: "Our Syrian partners know very well that Russia has given political asylum to Bashar al-Assad for humanitarian reasons. "The current authorities in Damascus also know that this Russian decision is final and irreversible."

Moscow's emphasis on Bashar al-Assad's political asylum comes at a time when the Russian ambassador to Iraq Albrus Kutrashev said in an interview with the Iraqi media in April last month that in Russia's opinion, handing over al-Assad to any foreign institution is not on the agenda, and at the same time, Bashar al-Assad's stay in the Russian capital is carried out under strict conditions.

One of the conditions, Kotrashev said, was that Assad would not be allowed any media or political activities during his stay in Moscow, and that he had not violated any of the conditions of the asylum granted so far.
