Kishinev must abandon its Russophobic policy, Kremlin says

Dmitry Peskov stressed that Moldova must release political prisoners, including former Gagauzia head Evgenia Gutsul.

Moscow, October 15. /TASS/. Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Chisinau should drop its Russophobic stance and release political prisoners, including former head of Gagauzia Yevgenia Gutsol, in order to normalize relations with Moscow.

"There's nothing complicated about it; it's very simple. To do that, it's just necessary to abandon the policy based on Russophobia. To do that, it's necessary to release political prisoners - at least Gottsel, the mother of two, to be released purely on humanitarian grounds. And we have to express our interest in building good relations with Russia," he said.
