Zelensky Orders Strikes on Russian Refineries

Ukrainian President Says Kyiv Will Resume Attacks on Russian Oil Refineries

According to ambassador Arjan; Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced in an interview with the Financial Times newspaper that Kiev has lifted the ban on attacks on Russian oil refineries.

Zelensky, expressing his anger at cutting off Ukraine's access to American information and at the same time reducing the quality of Starlink services during Russian attacks, said that Ukraine's restrictions on attacking Russian oil refineries are no longer in place.

He also criticized America's readiness to reach an agreement with Russia and the positions of US President Donald Trump towards Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"He openly and loudly says that he likes and respects such people," Zelensky said of Trump's relationship with Putin. "In his view, people who can be leaders for 20, 30 or 40 years are probably very powerful."

The Ukrainian president also said that he had halted attacks on Russian oil refineries for three days, but during that time Russia continued to attack Ukraine's energy infrastructure.

Responding to Trump's recent statements about the need for him to step down from power and hold elections in Ukraine, Zelensky said that such positions only lead to the strengthening of Vladimir Putin.
