Worker Dies in Mine Collapse in Ardakan

Yazd – Director-General of Crisis Management for Yazd Province reported that a worker died after an open-pit mine collapsed near Tut village in Ardakan County.

Yazd- The director general of crisis management of Yazd province announced the death of a worker due to the collapse of an open-pit mine near Tot village in Ardakan city.

According to the report of Ambassador Arjan, citing the public relations of crisis management of Yazd province, Ehsan Balakatfi said in a conversation with reporters, referring to the mine collapse incident in Ardakan: This incident happened around 13:50 on Thursday, and immediately after receiving the report, rescue forces, including the Red Crescent, emergency and fire brigade, were dispatched to the scene of the incident.

He added: The rescue forces carried out the debris removal and opening of the mine to access the trapped worker, but despite the efforts made, this worker lost his life.
