Sogol Tahmasbi, a film and television actor, shared his memories of his first historical movie experience with Shahab Hosseini and how he trembled in front of this superstar. He also talked about his career shift to television after the film's failure and his satisfaction with acting in long-running series like Kimia.
In this interview, referring to the beginning of his artistic career, Sogol Tahmasabi mentions the experience of acting in a historical movie titled "Flags of Kaveh Castle" as one of his first important works. In this movie, he was one of the main characters of the story and co-starred with Shahab Hosseini. Tahmasabi admits that at that time, as a young and inexperienced actor in his twenties, during his first encounter with Shahab Hosseini, who was considered a superstar, he was extremely stressed and his hands and feet were shaking.
Despite the high hopes for this historical work, this film was not successful in the release and only remained on the cinema screens for about three to four days. Tahmasabi believes that if this work was successful at the box office, his career path would also change and probably other cinematic events would happen for him. The failure of this film made it impossible for him to play with stars like Shahab Hosseini again, and as a result, his career path was directed towards television, which at that time was at the peak of its era with series such as "Fasileha".
Despite this change of direction, Tahmasabi is fully satisfied with his position on television and the eyes of the audience and is thankful for the good roles that have been offered to him. As an example, he points to the 110-episode series "Alchemy", of which he was able to appear in 85 episodes. According to him, acting in this long-running series gave him the tantalizing opportunity to experience a character at three ages of 16, 25 and 46 years old and put his acting skills to the test at a time when television had just started producing high-episode series.
