Medical Equipment Industry Trapped by Wrong Decisions

The secretary of the Association of Medical Equipment Manufacturers and Exporters, criticizing the imposition of domestic sanctions on the medical equipment sector, said the industry is trapped by wrong decisions and domestic sanctions.

Criticizing the imposition of internal sanctions on the field of medical equipment, the secretary of the Medical Equipment Manufacturers and Exporters Association said: The medical equipment industry is plagued by wrong decisions and internal sanctions.

According to the report of Ambassador Arjan Maryam Ghasemi, on Tuesday 21 October 1405, at the opening ceremony of the Iran Fashion Exhibition 2026 in Shahr Aftab, he stated: The Iran Fashion Exhibition is a place to examine the problems and express the demands of manufacturers and suppliers of medical equipment.

He added: The medical equipment industry is plagued by wrong policies. The solution of each problem depends on the solution of another problem and the vicious cycle continues.

Ghasemi said: In addition to foreign sanctions, medical equipment in the country is subject to internal sanctions, which are the result of shrinking budgets, deviations from approved budgets, weak insurance coverage, mandated pricing, including goods without preferred currency, multiple exchange rates, and lack of proper interaction of responsible institutions with the health industry.

He continued: In order to prevent the recurrence of these problems, the private sector is ready to stand alongside the ministries, organizations and effective and responsible institutions and give advice.

Ghasemi added: The private sector of medical equipment is standing with pride in the most difficult conditions of the country. We haven't had a more difficult situation than this, but I hope that we all do our duty correctly in whatever responsibility we are in order to be honest in our response to the people.
