Controversy Over Asani Contract at Appeals Committee; Case Hits AFC Deadlock
The Appeals Committee suspended notification of its ruling on complaints by Sepahan and Mes Shahr Babak against Esteghlal and Yasser Asani, due to the involvement of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and a request for additional documentation. The case will be reviewed together with Persepolis’s complaint.
The appeals committee stopped the notification of Sepahan and Mes Shahr Babak's complaint against Esteghlal Club and Yasir Asani due to the entry of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and the request for additional documents, so that this case can be reviewed together with Persepolis' complaint.
According to Ambassador Arjan, the Appeals Committee of the Football Federation issued its decision about a week ago regarding the complaint of Sepahan and Mes Shahr Babak clubs against Yaser Asani and Esteghlal Club. However, this ruling has not yet been communicated to Sepahan and Mes clubs.
Based on this verdict, the Appeals Committee of the Football Federation had rejected the objection of Sepahan and Mes Shahr Babak clubs against the decision of the disciplinary committee and acquitted Esteghlal Club and Yasir Asani of the charges, but apparently the verdict was returned to the appeals committee in an interesting incident!
This is despite the fact that after Sepahan and Mes Shahr Babak, Persepolis club also protested the rejection of their complaint against Esteghlal Club and Yasir Asani in the appeals committee and this case is being processed.
Regarding the return of Sepahan and Mes Shahr Babak complaints against Yaser Asani and Esteghlal Club to the appeals committee, follow-ups show that this matter is not unrelated to the entry of the Asian Football Confederation into the story of Yaser Asani. Over the past few days, AFC has asked the Iranian Football Federation for an explanation about this case, and after not being satisfied with the federation's initial explanation, it has requested the documents related to this case.
It seems that the Appeals Committee of the Football Federation, while reviewing the documents and documents of the Persepolis Club against Asani and Esteghlal Club, is waiting for the reaction of the Asian Football Confederation in this case, so that it can then issue a decision on the objection of all three Sepahan, Mes and Persepolis clubs at the same time. It is a matter to wait and see what the outcome will be and whether the controversy of an easy contract with Esteghlal will finally end or not.
