Drug Industry Syndicate Welcomes Shifa Daru's Bulk Sales | Ekhtarei: Private Sector Manages the Industry Better

The bulk sale of Shifa Daru has been welcomed by the Syndicate of Pharmaceutical Material Producers.

Emphasizing the necessity of handing over pharmaceutical companies to the private sector, Faramarz Dafanani announced that the private sector has more power and agility to manage this industry and that privatization can pave the way for the productivity and development of the pharmaceutical industry if a qualified buyer is selected and a competitive environment is created.

Shafadaro is on the verge of handing over 40 thousand billion tomans

The National Bank of Iran has taken the second step to hand over its largest pharmaceutical asset in line with the plan to exit from corporate and return to its main mission in the field of credit creation and production financing.

According to the official notification of the Tehran Stock Exchange, on Saturday, October 25, the management block of 90.52 percent of Shafadaro Investment Company, including more than 2 billion and 455 million shares, originally and represented by the National Development Group, will be put up for sale by Aindepooya Holding.

The basic price of each share is equal to the closing price of the previous day plus 125%, provided that the price is not lower than 162,830 rials. The value of this supply is estimated at more than 40 thousand billion tomans.

This handover is done after the competition in January 1404 for Shafadaro went up to 37 Hamats, but it was canceled due to the lack of cash deposit.

The emphasis of the private sector on the quality of assignments

The head of the Syndicate of Pharmaceutical, Chemical and Pharmaceutical Packaging Manufacturers considered handing over pharmaceutical companies to the private sector as a necessary and strategic measure and emphasized that privatization can lead to sustainable productivity at the same time as reforming the business environment and empowering buyers.

Faramarz Dafanani emphasized that today's economic problem is not the "principle of transfer" but the "quality of its implementation", and considered the correct implementation of Article 44 of the Constitution essential.

According to him, the purpose of privatization is not only the physical shrinking of the government, but also to improve productivity, develop competition, attract productive capital, protect employment and achieve stable incomes. He emphasized that handing over companies without removing mandated interventions, excessive regulations and business restrictions cannot achieve the expectation of a jump in production.

private sector; An applicant for a role in the drug value chain

Tafanari also emphasized the necessity of developing a clear road map for the transfer of the remaining companies and said that this plan should include the detailed qualification of buyers, maintaining the capacity of production lines, preventing the change of use, facilitating access to financing tools and establishing an efficient monitoring system after the transfer. According to him, with the correct implementation of this process, the role of the government should change from entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship to policymaking and regulation.

The head of the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers' Syndicate also pointed to the performance of the private sector in the face of sanctions pressures and said that non-governmental actors in the supply chain and production of pharmaceutical raw materials have shown high agility and resilience.

He added that despite the obstacles in the opening of letters of credit and international financial transfers, private companies have been able to create new paths and advance the negotiations for the construction of factories for the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients in the target countries to the contract signing stage.

In the end, Tafanani emphasized that the private sector is ready to accept the responsibility of pharmaceutical companies and play a role in the development of the health value chain; Provided that by trusting the qualifications of economic operators, removing redundant licenses and ensuring a fair competition environment, production and export barriers will be removed.
