Forecast of the production of more than 7 thousand tons of autumn products in Dareh Shahr

Ilam - Director of Jihad Agriculture in Dereshahr said: 2,200 hectares of land in this city are cultivated for autumn crops, and it is expected that more than 7,000 tons of crops will be produced and sent to the markets for consumption.

In a conversation with Mehr reporter, Zahid Zainiwand said, referring to the planting season of autumn crops, "in this season, part of the city's population is busy planting and harvesting autumn crops, and farmers provide the needs of the society with their efforts."

Referring to the cultivated area of these crops, he said: 2,200 hectares of the lands of Darehshahr city have been cultivated with various autumn crops and it is expected that more than 7,000 tons of crops will be produced and sent to the markets for consumption.

Referring to the damages caused to the agricultural sector following the heavy rains of the past ten days, Ziniwand added: Although these rains caused significant damage to the agriculture of the city, the efforts of farmers to meet the needs of the society continue and the production process has not stopped.

Referring to the agricultural and animal husbandry capacities of Dareh Shahr, he stated: this city is considered one of the agricultural and animal husbandry hubs of Ilam province with 14,000 hectares of arable land and 200,000 light and heavy livestock.

The director of the agricultural jihad of Dereshahr noted that about 50% of the people of this city are directly involved in the agricultural sector and its sub-sectors, and this shows the key role of agriculture in the economy and livelihood of the region.

In the end, he emphasized: Considering the high capacity of the city, supporting farmers and removing obstacles to production, it can help to increase the productivity and prosperity of the agricultural sector of Dereshahr and provide stable employment in the region.
