Smartphones make high-quality video recording accessible to almost everyone, but there's still a gap between amateur clips on TikTok and polished productions in theaters. Nikon's attempt to fill this gap is the Nikon Red ZR, an ultralight, full-frame camera designed for emerging cinematographers and high-end content producers. Red Digital Cinema, a subsidiary of Nikon and manufacturer of high-end digital cameras, is known for its color science. Coupling it with Nikon's imaging technology allows filmmakers like Jason Momoa to capture professional-quality footage on the move at a relatively affordable price.
