Emphasizing that we want to tell the people that we will not have any price increase in 12 basic goods in the coming months, Mohammad Khani clarified: In these war conditions and sanctions and blockades, our goal is to make the citizens feel comfortable.

He added: Today, the government is widely following the import of rice. Yesterday's government report shows that we are witnessing the massive import of rice. The municipality does the same.

The spokesperson of Tehran municipality stated that citizens can buy these fixed items from Kalaberg and clarified: This purchase is done in fruit and vegetable markets and Shahrvant stores from Kalaberg. This form of purchase has not yet been activated in the Shahrazad system.

The drying of the trees is not a disclaimer

Regarding the issues raised by one of the members of the council regarding the removal of responsibilities related to the green space from the areas and the drying of the trees, Mohammad Khani further noted: The city council is our upper body and supervisor and they have the right to comment and can raise various points. I invite the member of the council who raised these issues to visit this garden with neutral experts in this field and to listen to their words in the presence of the media. Part of the events that happened to this garden goes back to the period in which he was responsible.

He added: Rapid construction in that period is one of the reasons for the drying of trees. We suggest that we visit this park together and environmental and forestry experts give their opinions to see what kind of problems are related to the work and what are the solutions. Its reasons and culprits are clear, and with the presence of experts, it will definitely be clear what the reasons and solutions are, and whether the city administration has taken action to solve these problems or not?

The municipality insists on enforcing the law

Regarding the situation of the board of trustees of the neighborhoods, Mohammad Khani clarified: There has already been a difference of opinion regarding the management of the board of trustees of the neighborhoods. Tehran Municipality insists to act in accordance with the law and naturally cannot give in to actions that are in clear violation of the law.

He added: As I know about the procedure of the council president, the red line of the city council and the council president is based on the specification of the law entering the scope of implementation. Legally, the Council cannot and should not enter into the field of implementation and does not perform this action either. Mr. Chamran has warned about this issue many times. The same is the case with the local board of trustees, and the difference between the existing view and referring to the law is quite clear as to what actions should be taken in the board of trustees.
