Strange Situation for Dembélé: Crisis in Paris Over the Ballon d'Or Winner

Paris Saint-Germain's strange decisions regarding Ousmane Dembélé have caused trouble in recent weeks.

According to "Verzeh Se", Paris Saint-Germain has taken a very cautious approach towards Dembele this season. The striker was fully rested in Saturday's 3-1 win over Le Mans, a similar incident to his absence against Lille earlier in the season.

According to Radio Montecarlo Sport, the club have officially announced that the decision was taken in order to rest Dembele ahead of Wednesday's Champions League match against Manchester City. However, Dembele has also failed to impress in France's recent games against Italy and Belgium while wearing the captain's armband, which has raised questions about his current condition, match fitness and rhythm under Luis Enrique.

Christophe Dugary expressed his deep concern about the situation on Monday. He said: "Paris Saint-Germain must have information that we don't know about, but I think eventually this situation will end in a conflict. His performance in the Paris games is average and the same in the French national team. This situation will mess up his mind after a while.

Are they afraid of him getting injured or do they want him to be at his peak in February? But between now and February, how long are you going to rest him? In my opinion, this approach is too surprising."

Dugarry went on to question the message these decisions convey to the player. He said: "If he cannot reach an acceptable level, how do you explain to a player who has won the Ballon d'Or, has extended his contract with an astronomical salary and is going to shine for the French national team?

Are you telling him it's not a big deal because he won the Ballon d'Or? Do you realize what image you are presenting of the Ballon d'Or winner? He definitely deserved this award, but what does it mean that he only plays in one out of three matches?"
