Russia supports closer cooperation in the energy sector - Novak

According to this official, global energy security can only be achieved through cooperation and joint actions

Moscow, October 16. /TASS/. Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said at a public meeting during the 2026 Russia Energy Week International Forum that Russia supports closer cooperation between countries in the global energy market.

Novak said: "Here it is clear that the shock we experienced this year, <...> and the shocks that have occurred in the last 15 years, will ultimately lead to more individual decisions to maintain our energy security. From my point of view, let me say that this is a wrong process because global energy security can be ensured precisely only by cooperation and only in joint actions."
