Pokémon TCG: 30th Anniversary Boosters Back in Stock, But Where's the Best Price Now?
Amazon has recently restocked its allocation of Pokémon TCG 30th Anniversary Boosters, but prices have climbed to all-new highs.
Amazon has recently restocked allotment of the Pokémon TCG Celebration Booster Packs, which are currently available for $99. But is it the best deal right now?
Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration Booster Bundle
Unfortunately, no, that's still above and beyond MSRP, and significantly more than Amazon's September sale of booster packs ($45).
While TCGplayer still lists packs at more than MSRP, it's significantly better than a few weeks ago. There has been a significant decline in market value in the 30th anniversary boosters, down 35.43% in the past month alone. We saw these go for around $120 at the end of September, but now you can pick one up, new and sealed, for around $74 on resale.
It's not great compared to the $45 Amazon price we saw last month, but it's still a lot better than the $99 Amazon Now price. I expect Amazon to cut its price further in the coming days to change the new stock allocation, especially since the big retailer likes to keep it close to market rates.
For $99, you're looking at $16.50 per pack (6 total). At $74, that breaks down to $12.33 per pack. Still not great, but like I said, not as bad as it could be. Either way, it might be worth waiting if it drops further, as I don't expect us trainers to be thrilled about paying $70+ for six boosters.
The 30th Anniversary Collection has been hard to come by since pre-orders began. The collection is now officially available globally, but that doesn't mean the search for boosters is slowing down anytime soon.
To no one's surprise, the secondary market for the new set is in absolute chaos. Queues have stretched IRL doors the size of a bike lane at retailers around the world.
Now, to give you an idea of where the dust settles, we've recently charted the average market price per TCGplayer for the top 10 cards in the set, so you know what to look for when tearing into packs. Check out the following, and good luck!
