13-Megawatt Solar Power Plant to Be Built in Kowsar

Ardabil – Kowsar County's electricity director said plans are underway to build 8 large-scale power plants with a combined capacity of 13 megawatts and 4 household power plants in Kowsar County.

Ardabil - The electricity manager of Kauthar city said: The construction of 8 large-scale power plants with a capacity of 13 megawatts and 4 domestic power plants in Kauthar city was on the agenda.

According to the report of Ambassador Arjan Akbar Bahrizadeh, he said: Considering that Kausar city has 300 sunny days a year and benefits from an average of more than 6 hours of sunlight per day, it has a good capacity to build a solar power plant.

Referring to the available capacities in this city, he added: Currently, there are 66 small-scale five-kilowatt power plants in Kausar, which ranks first in Ardabil province in terms of population.

Referring to the support facilities for the development of solar power plants, the director of electricity in Kausar city continued: Applicants for large-scale power plants should apply through the Satba system, and they will benefit from 80% of government facilities and 20% of personal income.

In the end, Bahrizadeh reminded: According to the capacity of Kausar city, the construction of four five kilowatt domestic power plants and eight large-scale power plants with a total capacity of 13 megawatts are on the agenda, and these plans will play an important role in the development of renewable energy and sustainable electricity supply in the region.
