"Jellowjackets": First Footage From Final Season Shows Long-Awaited Return Home
The official trailer for Alanis Morissette's "Ironic" begins to unveil the events that finally rescue the stranded soccer team in the final season of the Showtime series.
The Yellow Jackets finally returned home. But this union is an account.
On Tuesday, the hit Showtime series released the official trailer with the first footage and first photos (below) of the fourth and final season (below), which will air on November 20 and introduce the survival series' third timeline when the Yellowjackets football team is finally rescued after 19 months in the Canadian wilderness.
The day before, the show shared its long-awaited moment with MTV News' "Report" on the rescue of the Yellowjackets, using advanced editing technology with co-host Serena Altschul, and celebrated its return with a twist on MTV Unplugged's "Ironic" performance directed by Alanis Morissette.

Morissette reappears in the first look with his hit song "Ironic," but the new version marks a tonal shift for the series. Morissette, who previously covered the show's theme song "No Return," recorded the original vocals for the teaser, THR has learned, and the instrumentals included his new intro to his MTV Unplugged performance of "Ironic."
So after three seasons tracking New Jersey high school teenagers and the terrible things they do to survive after their plane crashes in the desert — and showing the consequences for the surviving adults in this day and age — the trailer shows that season four plays out like a horror thriller.
The teenagers are rescued and return home. But they must face the things they've done, the people they've lost (and taken), and the secrets they'll kill to protect. The film captures the moments the show has been building to — like the brutal takedown of teenager Shawna (Sophie Nellis) — and promises to make up for lost time explaining how those teens became the adults we met in the pilot, starring Melanie Lynskey, Christina Ricci, Tawny Cypress, and Juliette Levy (previously).
Here's the official tagline: "They finally came home, but at what cost? The official teaser for the fourth and final season of The Yellowjackets teases the survivors home at last, haunting them at the cost of survival. Created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, Yellowjackets is the saga of a talented high school team of wild girl players (the survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness, a survival saga, a psychological horror story, and a period drama). Coming of Age tells the story of their descent from a complicated but thriving clan into wild clans, while the lives they've tried to piece together is something that's only begun nearly 25 years later.
Season 4 stars Lynskey, Ritchie, Sero, Nellis, Jasmine Savvy Brown, Sophie Thatcher, Samantha Hanratty, Courtney Eaton, Liv Hewson, Warren Cole, Kevin Alves, Sarah Desjardins, Nia Sundaya, Jenna Burgess and Hilary Swank. Guest stars Jon Squibb, Elijah Wood, Molly Ringwald, Devon Sawa, Sam Browne, Dole Hill and more.
Lyle and Bart Nickerson created the series, which is produced by Lionsgate Television. They co-star and executive produce with Lisco, Creative Engine's Drew Comins, Jeff W. Byrd, Sarah L. Thompson, Ameni Rozsa and Julia Bicknell.
Yellowjackets returns to Paramount+ in Premium format on November 20 and is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution. Here's a recap of how season three ended.
