Yemen's sharp attack on Saudi Arabia before the meeting of Islamic countries
In a statement for the meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Yemen called for a responsible position against Saudi crimes.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Yemen issued a statement last night on the occasion of the 52nd meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which is scheduled to be held on October 17 and 18 in Baghdad, the capital of Iraq.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Yemen announced in its statement that we hope Islamic countries will play a positive role in ending the aggression and siege imposed on Yemen that has been going on for more than a decade, and strive to achieve peace in accordance with the words of God Almighty.
The ministry added: We also hope that in this meeting, the obvious lie of the Saudi regime against the people of Yemen regarding the targeting of Mecca and Medina will be revealed and no party will accept it. These lies of the Saudi regime are a great insult to the people who are willing to sacrifice their lives for Islamic holy places.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Yemen asked the Islamic countries to act in accordance with the word of God, "O you who believe, if a wicked person brings you news, investigate, lest you harm a people out of ignorance and regret what you have done."
In the continuation of this statement, it is stated that the demands of the Yemeni nation are just and fair and are related to their legitimate rights, that is, to end the aggression and siege that imposes great suffering on this nation.
The Yemeni Foreign Ministry stated that the Saudi regime has targeted civilians, especially women and children, as well as civilian infrastructure, including houses, hospitals, schools, airports, factories, roads, bridges, fields, water reservoirs, markets, mosques, and more in Yemen in the past 12 years.
The ministry added: The Saudi regime has used hunger as a weapon of war against the Yemeni people through the economic blockade, non-payment of salaries, closing the Sana'a International Airport and blocking the ports, and has led to the biggest humanitarian crisis in recent history.
In the continuation of this statement, it is stated that the crimes and massacres of the Saudi regime against civilians and civilian infrastructure are well documented and evident and should not be ignored by the Islamic world or the conscience of humanity.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Yemen reiterated that the Saudi regime that started the aggression against Yemen is the same regime that led to the beginning of a new round of escalation of tensions by targeting Sana'a airport. Since then, this regime has carried out more than 2,000 airstrikes against civilians and civilian infrastructure in Yemen, and this requires a responsible stance from Islamic countries.
In the end, this ministry stated that the propaganda of the Saudi regime against Yemen is completely false, and announced that navigation in the Red Sea is completely safe, and it is the Saudi regime that threatens international shipping by escalating tensions.
