EXCLUSIVE: Canada's Precious Metal Productions and Good Soldier Films wrap Summer's Camp Romance TV movie in sales at MIPCOM.

This is their second collaboration following 2025's culinary-themed romance Bee My Love, which was helmed by Precious Metal Productions partners, producer-director Christopher Giroud and actor-producer Ann Pirvo as their joint venture's inaugural production.

Piero (Kingdom) leads the cast with Stefan Hozar (O Little Christmas Market) in the new romance, which also features special appearances by Kat Berle (Wynonna Earp), Christian Booth (Signed, Sealed, Delivered), Stefan Brogren (Degrassi High) and Andrew Fong (Kim's Conve). The film follows an ambitious advertising executive (Pirovo) as he tries to fulfill his daughter's dream of attending a favorite summer camp against the odds when spots fill up in record time.

A determined mother reluctantly competes with a former star athlete (Hazar) who helps her niece follow the same dream in a series of camp-inspired challenges for a hot spot at Camp Falcon Ridge.

The pair embark on outdoor adventures and camp traditions, where an unforgettable group of Camp Rangers remind them that success isn't always about accomplishments, and sparks begin to fly on all levels as things don't go as planned.

The screenplay was written by Piero and Giraud and was their second feature collaboration after Love Me and the latter again directed.

"Registration at summer camp can often feel a little like The Hunger Games. We wanted to capture this incredibly relatable experience while telling a story full of romance, family fun and the timeless magic and nostalgia of camp life," said Pirro.

Summer's Camp Romance is produced by Brigitte Kingsley and Andrew Cymek under their Good Soldiers banner alongside Pirvu and Giroux as well as their co-star Huszar.

Kingsley also handles sales through Defiant Empire Distribution, his joint Canadian distribution company with Cymek.

"Summer's Camp Romance has everything we love about filmmaking – an incredible ensemble, a wonderful story, beautiful locations and a wonderful group of filmmakers behind it," said Kingsley. We're delighted to be working with Precious Metal Productions again and I'm excited to be taking the film to MIPCOM this year. I look forward to sharing it with buyers and partners around the world.

Aside from Bee My Lov e, Giroud also directed Snowbound for the Holidays, which premiered on Hallmark this Christmas in July.

"When we started working on this project, we wanted to make an event-level TV romance — something believable, high-energy and full of surprises," he said.

"For fans of the genre, it's an exciting thing to see worlds collide - it's the same feeling shared by watching Spider-Man and the Hulk. We wanted to bring some of the crossover energy of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to the world of TV movies - this is our Avengers."

Production is a busy year for the film's creative team. Kingsley and Cymek have recently released back-to-back Christmas movies, as well as their latest, Mystery Beach, starring Ryan Pavey (General Hospital), Kingsley and Eric Patterson (Gas Corner).

While Piero and Christopher Giroux recently unveiled a new feature-length multi-picture film with Black Fawn distribution during TIFF 2026.

The slate furthers Pirro and Giraud's commitment to developing and producing original Canadian features, while Summer's Camp Romance continues the growing creative partnership between Precious Metal Productions and Good Soldier Films.
