Beginning of screening of Elamite children in 45 centers by Welfare
Ilam - The director general of welfare of Ilam province announced the start of screening of Elamite children in 45 centers by welfare.
Referring to the services provided this week, Ali Mahmoudi said in a conversation with Mehr reporter: On the occasion of National Children's Week, a series of services including vision screening, hearing screening, speech therapy, occupational therapy and anxiety screening for 5-6 year old children will be provided in 45 life study centers in all the cities of the province.
Referring to inviting families to benefit from these services, he added: I invite dear families to take this opportunity to take their children to our bases in the cities to use these services and take advantage of this plan.
Emphasizing the importance of early detection of children's vision and hearing problems, Mahmoudi stated: many vision and hearing disorders, if diagnosed late, can affect the child's learning, education, and quality of life; Therefore, timely screening plays a key role in preventing serious complications in the future.
Pointing out that this plan is implemented for kindergarten and elementary school children, he noted that parents should be sensitive to behavioral changes in children, such as getting too close to objects, avoiding eye activities, not responding to sounds, or complaining of headaches and eye fatigue, and if they see any symptoms, they should immediately take further investigation.
Referring to the freeness of these services, this official added: Screenings are done in welfare centers for free, and if needed, children are referred to the relevant centers to receive more specialized services so that no child is deprived of medical services due to financial problems.
In the end, the Director General of Welfare of Ilam province emphasized: The welfare of the province is fully prepared to provide screening and treatment services to children this week, and we ask families to participate in maintaining the health of their children by visiting on time, so that we can witness the growth and prosperity of a healthy and capable generation in the province.
