University Incubator to Launch Within 6 Months

The head of the Buin Zahra Higher Technical and Engineering Education Center announced that an incubator will be launched within the next 6 months in cooperation with the Science and Technology Park, saying: Through developing industrial scholarships, implementing research projects, and providing training tailored to production needs, this center seeks to expand cooperation with industry.

According to Ambassador Arjan from Qazvin; Buin Zahra Technical and Engineering Higher Education Center, operating in 15 specialized fields, having 35 laboratories and 5 workshops and the presence of students from different cities of the country, pursues programs to strengthen the connection between the university and the industry, develop research activities and increase the capacity to attract students.

In a press conference with the media, Dr. Shirviyeh Pirvi Cheshanaser, the head of Boyinzahra Technical and Engineering Higher Education Center, said that one of the main axes of the university's activity is the use of scientific capacity to respond to the needs of industrial units and said: Half of the 65 faculty members of the center have an effective relationship with the industry and it is planned to expand these collaborations.

According to him, the implementation of research projects in industries and the development of industrial scholarships are solutions that can help to solve the technical and production problems of industrial units while training specialized forces.

Industrial scholarship and training according to production needs

Referring to the obstacles in the implementation of the industrial scholarship, the determination of the status of the students' duty system and their insurance issues were the two main challenges of this path.

He added: "The university can meet some of the specialized needs of industries at a lower cost." Using a part of the tax capacity of industries to finance the cost of academic staff is also one of the suggestions that can be considered.

Pointing to the possibility of defining joint projects based on Article 23 of the law, the head of Bouinzahra Technical and Engineering Higher Education Center said: The proposal to create specialized clinics has been presented to industries in order to use the university's capacity to make production processes more scientific and solve specialized problems.

He also mentioned that according to the emphasis of the Ministry of Science, 30 academic units of industrial scholarship students will be taught directly according to the needs of the contracting party's industry.

Growth center focusing on water and polymer recycling

The establishment of the growth center in cooperation with Science and Technology Park is one of the other announced plans of this complex. Pirvi Cheshanaser said that preparations for this plan are underway and the growth center is expected to be launched in the next 6 months.

According to him, water trading and recycling of polymer materials will be among the fields of activity of this center.

The head of Buin Zahra Technical and Engineering Higher Education Center listed free education and the growth center as sources of income for the university and added: attracting foreign students can also help to generate income and promote the university and the city of Buin Zahra; Of course, the realization of this program depends on the final approval of foreign student admission.

15 specialized fields with a focus on engineering

Referring to the educational structure of the center, Parvehi said: This complex operates in 15 specialized fields, and some of its fields, including medical engineering, industrial engineering, aerospace, polymer and chemistry, are not offered in other state universities of Qazvin province.

He considered these courses to be among the distinctive capacities of the center and, pointing to the presence of students from cities such as Mashhad, Bushehr, Saveh, Kermanshah, Bandar Abbas, Qazvin and Zanjan, emphasized the necessity of maximum use of students' potential.

The head of Bouin Zahra Technical and Engineering Higher Education Center announced the number of active students at 1,875 and said that the capacity to accept 1,000 new incoming students has been considered for this year. According to him, students are studying in most fields, especially aerospace and medical engineering, and this human capital should be properly guided in the scientific and professional path.

Four educational buildings and 35 laboratories

This center has four educational buildings, 35 laboratories and five workshops, and according to its head, it has reached self-sufficiency in workshops. The university also has 10,000 square meters of teaching space and an artificial grass field.

Perveri also announced the start of activity in the Salaf building in the new academic year and said that this space has been put into operation with the aim of providing a suitable environment for students to attend and study.

In the dormitory department, the university has four dormitories, one of which is owned and the other three are rented. According to him, 100 students are accommodated in each dormitory, and priority is given to non-native students and people who come to Buin Zahra from distant cities.

The program to host the entrance exam in Buin Zahra

The head of Bouinzahra Technical and Engineering Higher Education Center, referring to the limitation of the quantitative expansion of universities in the policies of the Ministry of Science and emphasizing the improvement of the quality of education, considered it necessary to better introduce the capacities of the university to attract students.

He said that due to the fact that the venue of the entrance exam in Buin Zahra city changes every year, it has been decided that this center will host the exam so that students and school graduates will get to know more about the facilities and fields of the university.

Parvi Cheshanaser also explained about the structural status of the center: this complex is currently an independent university. Despite the announcement of the approval of the Ministry of Science regarding the annexation of 15 complexes or educational centers to the parent universities, so far no notification has been received about the change in the status of this center. He also evaluated the relationship between the university and the parent university as favorable.

Criticism of virtual education and emphasis on the academic atmosphere of the university

He considered the implementation of virtual education as one of the important challenges of universities and said: virtualization of education harms the university and students, and students who continue their studies face a disadvantage in such a situation. He expressed hope that this process will not be repeated.

He also stated about the political and cultural activities of the students: the efforts of the center's management are to direct the activities towards scientific issues and students have the opportunity to express their opinions and activities within specific frameworks.

From the world's top two percent researchers to the country's top research project

"Mehdi Rezaei", Vice President of Education and Research of Bouin Zahra Technical and Engineering Higher Education Center, pointed out some of the scientific achievements of the faculty members and students and said: Professor Ashurinejad's presence among the world's top two percent researchers and the twelfth place in the Mathematical Olympiad by the students are among the center's recent honors.

Referring to the expansion of international cooperation, he added: Faculty members have concluded successful research contracts with Chinese universities, and one of these projects has won the title of "the country's top project".

Emphasizing the need to preserve the scientific reputation of the university, Rezaei said: the selection of scientific conferences is done carefully, and faculty members and students are directed to the first and superior conferences to attend conferences.

According to the center's vice president of education and research, some laboratories and workshops of this collection are unique and rare in the country. Therefore, holding joint training courses with industries, strengthening the relationship with the production sector and concluding applied research contracts are on the agenda.

He also informed about the activities of student groups in the specialized fields of polymer and chemistry and conducting research projects in these fields and said that several patents have been registered by the faculty members of the center.

Journalists visiting the specialized capacities of the university

On the sidelines of this meeting, journalists visited the specialized laboratories and workshops of Bouinzahra Technical and Engineering Higher Education Center and were closely informed about the facilities and educational and research activities of this complex.

During this visit, parts of the university's specialized infrastructure, which are used for practical training of students and implementation of research activities, were introduced to the media. While observing the workshop and laboratory facilities, the journalists got to know some of the technical capacities of the center and its potential fields of cooperation with industries; A capacity that the university officials emphasize on using more to connect education, research and production needs.
