Need to Document Women's Experiences and Remove Barriers to Their Activity and Managerial Advancement

Head of the Department of Environment stressed documenting women's experiences, removing managerial barriers, and turning dialogues into effective environmental action.

According to Ambassador Arjan's report, citing the Environmental Protection Organization, the second meeting "From experience to impact; Women and Environment" was held with the presence of Sheena Ansari, Vice President and Head of the Environmental Protection Organization and a group of influential women, veterans, civil activists and experts in the field of environment in this organization.

Sheena Ansari, referring to the importance of taking advantage of the valuable experiences of women in the field of environment, said in this meeting: In addition to paying attention to the issues and needs of women working in the organization, we should also benefit from the capacity of active women outside the organization, including civil activists, university professors, researchers and experts in the field of environment.

Emphasizing the obstacles and limitations faced by women in the career and managerial promotion, he added: Women active in the field of environmental protection, especially in the field of wildlife and biodiversity protection, face many challenges and hearing their experiences can help to better understand these obstacles and find effective solutions to solve them.

The head of the Environmental Protection Organization considered the continuity and purposefulness of the "from experience to impact" meetings to be necessary and clarified: the goal is not just to hold meetings; Rather, these meetings should lead to practical results and provide the context for the hearing of women's key narratives, transfer of experience and inspiration to others.

Ansari also mentioned documenting the experiences and activities of influential women in the field of the environment as one of the goals of this program and said: Documenting the activities of these women is on the agenda in order to record their efforts and experiences and provide a basis for introducing their capacities.

Emphasizing the necessity of supporting active women in this field, he noted: Although financial resources are important, many issues can be resolved through follow-up, interaction and consultation, and lack of credit should not be an excuse to ignore problems and stop necessary actions.
