He, who had been silent about this strange appearance change for a few days, talked about the change in the color of his beard in an interview with the media of the Milan club and explained the reason for it. Simon said about this:

"One of the Cuban fitness coaches said that we will make it to the Olympics. But I was sure that this was impossible; We have a lot of problems, the federation is not helping us and it seemed impossible.

We made a bet: if we succeeded, he would dye his hair and I would bleach my beard. But white didn't work, so I had to make it pink. Now I'm going to shave it off."
