He said: National Children's Week is an opportunity to increase public awareness about children's rights and provide a context for the growth and development of their capabilities, and programs for this occasion should be designed and implemented according to the needs and age characteristics of children.

The CEO of the Red Crescent Society of Kurdistan emphasized the necessity of developing child-friendly spaces and added: Children in an environment where they feel safe, respected and accepted will have more opportunities for social and emotional growth and can develop their abilities to interact with others.

Jalali listed purposeful games and creative activities as effective tools in this direction and said: implementing programs appropriate to children's age strengthens their communication skills, empathy, participation and problem-solving ability.

He also pointed to the capacity of Sahar Hilal-Ahmar teams, consisting of psychological and social support ambassadors, and said: these teams play an effective role in implementing cultural, educational and game-based programs and providing a safe and lively environment for children with the participation of trained volunteer youth.

The CEO of Kurdistan Red Crescent Society continued: psycho-social support, strengthening the sense of belonging and providing opportunities for positive interaction with peers are among the activities of Sahar teams, which can help increase children's hope and adaptability in facing different situations.

In the end, Jalali stressed that supporting children should not be limited to the National Children's Week, and noted that the realization of this goal requires the continuous cooperation of families, schools, and social institutions, and the Red Crescent Society, relying on the culture of altruism and voluntary participation of young people, pursues the development of child-friendly spaces and support for their mental health. A path that can lead to raising a more capable generation and forming a more resilient and hopeful society.
