Khorramabad – The head of the Lorestan Agricultural Jihad Organization announced preventive measures and the organization's readiness to manage the possible effects of the El Niño climate phenomenon and heavy showers on the agricultural sector.

Khorramabad- The head of the Lorestan Agricultural Jihad Organization informed about the preventive measures and preparation of this organization to manage the possible consequences of the climatic phenomenon "El Nino" and torrential rains in the agricultural sector.

According to the report of Ambassador Arjan Namdar Sayadi, in a speech, he said: due to the climatic nature of this phenomenon and based on the data of the General Directorate of Meteorology of Lorestan, daily monitoring of the weather condition is on the agenda.

Referring to the flood experience of 2018, he added: The necessary plans have been made to minimize the possible damages caused by the upcoming rains, and this organization follows the situation of the agricultural sector with a preventive approach.

Warning to operators of high-risk areas

The head of the Lorestan Agricultural Jihad organization continued by emphasizing the identification of high-risk centers: warnings and necessary notifications have been sent to the operators of vulnerable sectors, including fish farms, owners of motor pumps located on the banks of rivers, and nomadic communities who are most at risk of possible floods.

Coordination with executive bodies for crisis management

Sayadi pointed out: coordination meetings have been held with the managers of the agricultural jihad of the cities, and this organization, in interaction with other executive bodies, has the necessary preparation to manage the crisis and reduce the possible risks caused by the El Nino phenomenon.
