Iran's Mediation for Agreement Officially Ends / War Will Continue
Al-Bukhaiti announced the failure of Saudi efforts, through Tehran, to achieve a temporary ceasefire lasting two weeks to one month.
Muhammad Al-Bakhiti, a member of the political office of Yemen's Ansarullah Movement, emphasized that Sana'a in principle welcomes any mediation to end the escalation of tension with Saudi Arabia; But this welcome is conditional on stopping the aggression and lifting the all-round blockade of Yemen.
He went on to reveal the failure of Saudi Arabia's efforts through Tehran to achieve a temporary ceasefire for 2 weeks to a month and attributed this failure to Sana'a's refusal to accept partial and incomplete solutions and accused Riyadh of denying its main role as one of the main parties involved in the war.
Al-Bakhiti stated: "Sanaa's demands include ending the war and lifting the siege from both sides. Iran's mediation failed because Saudi Arabia denies the reality. The Saudi leadership first mobilized a large international military coalition to organize and direct the aggression and siege of Yemen, and now it tells the world: We are not a party to this conflict! What is more strange is Saudi Arabia's claim to act as a mediator to stop the aggression and siege that it is leading; This is not logical at all."
According to the Yemeni media, he added: "The Saudi leadership also ignores the fact that ending the war and blockade by both sides has now become a common interest between Yemen and Saudi Arabia, and even this issue is considered a greater interest for Saudi Arabia itself."
Since the UN ceasefire in 2022 in Yemen, there has been a relative calm for the implementation of the "road map" agreement in which Saudi Arabia committed to end the aggression and blockade and to solve the humanitarian case caused by the aggression; The new situation arose after Riyadh launched attacks on Sana'a International Airport to prevent a plane from landing at Sana'a International Airport.
Sana'a has announced that since the beginning of September, Saudi Arabia has carried out more than 2170 intense airstrikes on the capital and various provinces of Yemen (such as Saada, Taiz and Hajjah), while the restrictions imposed on airports and ports also continue.
In response to these aggressions, the Yemeni army also announced that it would activate the equation of "encirclement against blockade and escalation against escalation" and apply a complete ban on air and sea traffic for ships and flights related to Saudi Arabia.
Sanaa's bank of targets included the attack on Saudi Aramco's oil and vital facilities in Riyadh and Al-Sharqiya region, the last of which was the Tanajib factory and the Shoghdam station using drones and ballistic missiles.
Saudi airports have also been the target of direct attacks, the most prominent of which has been repeated targeting that has resulted in the suspension of flights and the complete closure of King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and King Fahd Airport in Dammam.
The equation drawn by Sana'a, namely "encirclement against encirclement and escalation against escalation", will remain in force until Riyadh is willing to accept its true role and end the aggression and encirclement.
