Under the agreement, Bleecker Street will continue to operate independently under the management of Kenneth Sanderson, CEO, and Tyler DiNapoli, president and chief marketing officer. Bleecker will also retain control of its inventory, acquisitions, distribution, marketing, filmmaker relations and day-to-day operations. Outerlight's support increases Bleecker's spending power in the film market as a buyer and distributor. "Bleecker Street is growing and our ambition is to continue to grow the company while staying true to what has always set us apart," Sanderson said. Outerlight shares our belief in the power of cinema and the importance of theatrical filmmaking, and its long-term support gives us greater capacity to pursue the opportunities we see across our core film business, as well as compelling new avenues in the film space. We're excited about what we can build from here." Popular in Variety

Its fall slate includes Anton Corbin's "A Talent for Murder" starring Helen Mirren; Mike Leigh's "Loving Care," starring Kate O'Flynn; Zachary Wiggon's "Victorian Psycho" starring Micah Monroe; and Guy Natio "Deliverance" starring Carrie Coon, Lily James, Odessa Young, Tracy Letts and Bella Ramsey.

Bleecker Street Media was advised on the deal by Sandy Climan of Entertainment Media Ventures and Matthew Wilkens of 44 Greenwich. Pryor Cashman represented Outerlight Entertainment in the deal.
