The IRGC's Deputy for Public Relations and Spokesman, responding to the US claim that Iran's attacks on oil tankers were unauthorized, said: «It is simply impossible that this action was unauthorized.»

According to the report of Ambassador Arjan Sardar Hossein Mohebi, Deputy Public Relations Officer and Spokesman of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, referring to the American claims regarding Iran's violation of the Memorandum, said: "The United States is running away and misleading." The one who violated this treaty was America. Where did the violation of this agreement happen? Immediately after the meeting that was held to implement the terms of the memorandum, maybe a day later, the US Secretary of State made a trip to the region and held a meeting with the heads of the countries of the region. There they issued a statement that contradicted the provisions of the memorandum.

According to Ambassador Arjan's report, he added: On the other hand, paragraph five of this memorandum was that the passage of ships should be done with Iranian arrangements. By threatening some countries in the region, the US created an illegal route from the southern part of the strait and from the coast of Oman and wanted to break the fifth clause and did so. Clause 5 of the Memorandum made the passage of ships and any type of vessel subject to Iranian arrangements, but the United States ignored these arrangements, opened a new route and wanted the ships to pass through there with an escort. It was not just about opening the passage and announcing it, but forcing the ships to pass.

The IRGC spokesman continued: Therefore, America violated the memorandum and this violation happened twice; Once with the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and once with the creation of an illegal crossing and the passage of ships. We felt that America was doing something new. Once in the middle of understanding and negotiations, he carried out the attack on June 23; Once again, in the middle of the negotiations, he carried out the attack on the 9th of March and for the third time, not only in the middle of the negotiations, but after concluding the memorandum and in the middle of the negotiations for its implementation, he violated the promise again.

Mohibi clarified: What should be the logical answer to this violation of the third covenant? The logical answer should be powerful, strong and appropriate. In the end, Mohebi emphasized: I strongly declare that our answer was a decisive, strong and powerful answer to the violation of the fourth covenant of the United States in general, after the JCPOA and the violation of the third covenant in these recent negotiations.
