Improving Communications Infrastructure and Rural Roads Is a Public Demand
Abyek – The central district governor of Abyek, pointing to the villages' need for road improvements and strengthened telecommunications infrastructure, called for attention to villagers' demands and to the cultural component of development projects.
Abike-Central Abike district head pointed out the need of the villages of this section to improve the roads and strengthen the telecommunication infrastructure, and asked to pay attention to the demands of the villagers and the cultural attachment of the development plans.
According to Mehr reporter, Shirin Mafi said at the meeting of Qazvin province administrators with the vice president for rural development and underprivileged areas on Thursday afternoon: All the rural roads in the central part of Abek have been asphalted, but these roads need asphalt coating and improvement.
Referring to the demands of the villagers in the field of communication, he added: Today's mobile phone is no longer a luxury device, but a necessary tool for people to access government services and perform daily tasks. However, the weak communication coverage and the lack of telecommunication equipment in some areas are still problems in the villages.
Abike Central Governor continued: People expect to have proper and stable services for the money they pay for telephone services; But in some cases, weak infrastructure is cited as an excuse for not providing optimal services.
Emphasizing the need to strengthen the lifestyle and productive capacities of villages, Mafi pointed out the importance of implementing a cultivation model that fits the country's conditions and said: In a situation where energy has become one of the important axes of global developments, strengthening rural production and supporting farmers becomes more important.
Stating that some small wheat farmers are facing economic problems, he added: the low economic efficiency of production and the incompatibility of product prices with production costs lead farmers to fake jobs. Therefore, it is necessary to take into account the production conditions and geographical location of different regions in the support policies.
The central governor of Abike also demanded to pay attention to the conditions of mountainous areas in planning for the improvement of roads and emphasized: the plans that are defined for the development of villages should have a cultural attachment.
Mafi pointed out: Ignoring the local culture and the way of life of the villagers can reduce the participation of the people in the implementation of the plans and bring heavy costs; Therefore, rural development should be pursued with recognition of local capacities and real participation of residents.
