Fans don't have to wait until December to return to Arrakis. Warner Bros. and Legendary Entertainment are bringing the world of Denis Villeneuve's "The Dune" to downtown Los Angeles next month, with a new immersive attraction that allows visitors to encounter giant sandworms, sit on Atreides' throne and get an up-close look at actual sets from the blockbuster film.

"Dune: The Experience" opens Nov. 20 at 330 S. Alameda, through Dec. 20, a month before "Dune: Part Three" opens on Dec. 18. Produced in partnership with entertainment platform Fever, the hour-long trek is the latest attempt to get a real Hollywood investment into a single ticket. The attraction recreates several of the film's most recognizable locations, from the desert planet of Arrakis to the Imperial Throne Room. Visitors can take the Bene Gesserit test, decipher hidden Fremen messages, and encounter a giant sandworm. There is also a collection of original costumes, weapons, props and artifacts from the Villeneuve trilogy, including a full-scale Flying Bird used in the films.

Naturally, there are plenty of photo opportunities. Guests can pose on the emperor's throne, recreate moments from movie posters and browse a merchandise store filled with exclusive collectibles. A themed dining hall offers food and drink inspired by the franchise.

Tickets start at $31.50, with several premium packages available for more dedicated fans. The $67 deluxe option includes a flexible entry, a branded water bottle and a carrying case. At the top is a $250 package that allows visitors to actually step inside the original Ornicopter, along with a digital photo package, a printed souvenir, and parking.

"Dune: Part III," directed by Villeneuve from a screenplay written with Brian K. Vaughn, will conclude his adaptation of Frank Herbert's sci-fi epic. The new attraction gives Warner Bros. and Legendary another way to keep the franchise in front of audiences during the final stretch of the film's marketing campaign, while cashing in on a property whose appeal now extends far beyond the multiple uses of the Villeneuve trilogy. Warner Bros. and Legendary have a significant audience to court.

Tickets for Dune: The Experience are available through Fever and the attraction runs from November 20 to December 20 in Los Angeles. Other cities are expected to be announced.
