Referring to the high volume of cargo, industrial, passenger and tourism traffic in the province's axes, the governor of Bushehr called for strengthening the cars and motorcycles of the traffic police, eliminating the accident-prone areas and developing smart systems to reduce accidents.

According to Ambassador Arjan Bushehr, Arslan Zare, the governor of Bushehr, on Thursday, at the meeting of the traffic safety steering council of the province, which was held in the presence of the traffic police chief Faraja, by honoring the memory of the martyrs and appreciating the actions of the traffic police, emphasized the need to improve road safety and reduce traffic accidents.

He said: Due to its strategic location, the possession of important ports, large energy industries, economic and tourism centers, and road connections with neighboring provinces, Bushehr province faces a significant amount of cargo, industrial, passenger and tourism traffic. This condition doubles the responsibility of related devices in the field of securing transportation axes.

Bushehr governor emphasized the need for comprehensive cooperation of the responsible agencies in the field of traffic safety and added: despite the measures taken by the highway organization and other related agencies, the length of the transportation axes of the province and the volume of traffic of heavy vehicles require the strengthening of the facilities and equipment of the traffic police.

Zare called for the use of national and provincial credits to provide and strengthen the traffic police fleet and motorcycles and stated: increasing the operational capacity of the police can play a role in traffic management and more effective implementation of safety programs.

He also considered the development and maximum exploitation of smart systems for registering intra-city violations to be necessary and said: Municipalities should put the strengthening of the software and hardware infrastructure of these systems on the agenda by using the resources and credits at their disposal, including the income from added value.

Governor of Bushehr added: The development of smart systems, along with the measures taken in the suburban area, can help organize traffic and reduce accidents in the cities of the province.

Zare listed the removal of accident-prone spots, improvement of roads, development of intelligent monitoring systems and dealing with accidents-causing violations as other necessities for improving traffic safety and stated: Considering the volume of heavy vehicle traffic and the increase in road trips, the correction of high-risk spots and intelligent traffic management should be prioritized.

By announcing the provincial administration's support for effective plans to reduce accidents and increase transportation safety, he said: executive bodies, municipalities, and traffic police should cooperate by developing operational and timed plans to solve traffic problems.

Referring to the scientific and expert programs compiled by the traffic police and the clear contribution of each device in reducing accidents, Bushehr governor said: There should be no delay in implementing necessary measures to improve road safety.

At the end, Zare emphasized: The provincial administration is ready to support the implementation of safety and traffic plans by guiding the next year's credits and budgets. Because these measures directly affect people's health, life expectancy and satisfaction.
