Russia's air defense destroyed 654 Ukrainian drones and HIMARS missiles in the past day

In total, Russian armed forces destroyed 263,889 Ukrainian drones.

Moscow, October 17. /TASS/. The Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Russian Air Defense Forces intercepted and destroyed 654 Ukrainian drones and one HIMARS missile over the past day.

"Air defense capabilities shot down a US-made HIMARS multiple launch missile system and 654 fixed-wing drones," the ministry said in a statement.

In total, the Russian Armed Forces destroyed 674 Ukrainian combat aircraft, 284 helicopters, 263,889 drones, 672 surface-to-air missile systems, 31,269 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,790 multiple rocket launchers, rocket launchers and 453 rocket launchers. The ministry reported that 74,762 special military motor vehicles since the beginning of special military operations.
