Major General Vahidi: Defense Industry Is the Strategic Backbone of the Armed Forces on the Battlefield

The proposed Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics met with the IRGC Commander-in-Chief and held talks.

In the meeting of Engineer Mehrdad Akhlik with Major General Ahmed Vahidi, opinions were exchanged about the role of the defense industry in supporting the armed forces, the continuation of the production of defense equipment and weapons in war conditions, and ways to develop cooperation and synergy between the industrial complexes of the Ministry of Defense and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

In this meeting, the Commander-in-Chief of the IRGC emphasized the importance of the efforts of experts and employees of the country's defense industry during the imposed 12-day war and the Ramadan war, and emphasized the strategic role of local capabilities in providing defense needs and supporting the warriors.

Referring to the need to strengthen industrial and technological activities in the current situation, he said: Relying on local knowledge, the will of experts and the continuity of the defense equipment production chain are important components of maintaining the readiness of the armed forces and dealing with possible threats from enemies.

Major General Vahidi also emphasized the importance of maximum utilization of internal capacities, and considered the development of cooperation between the operational and industrial sectors of the armed forces as a basis for improving combat power, increasing defense readiness and strengthening the deterrence power of the country.

Referring to the experiences and capabilities of the ethical engineer in the course of upgrading the defense industry, the Commander-in-Chief of the IRGC stressed the necessity of exploiting the scientific and industrial capacities of the country and developing strategic technologies, strengthening the production infrastructure and using the power of domestic experts with a continuous approach and appropriate to the current and future defense requirements of the country.

Ethical Engineer also expressed the readiness of the Ministry of Defense to prioritize the effective support of the armed forces and the stability of the production chain along with the improvement of technology, especially in strategic weapons.

The proposed minister of the Ministry of Defense and Support of the Armed Forces, referring to the capacities and readiness of the defense industries to expand cooperation and interaction with the corresponding departments of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, emphasized the development of joint cooperation in the field of design, production, supply and support of defense equipment, and stated the important axes of interaction between the industrial and operational complexes of the armed forces, the synergy of existing capacities in improving defense readiness and meeting the needs of the armed forces.
