Prosecutor General's Office to Crack Down on Unauthorized Encroachment on Riverbeds

Deputy Prosecutor General announced judicial follow-up on illegal encroachments on riverbeds, natural resource lands and unauthorized construction, aimed at preventing flood damage.

The deputy attorney general of the country announced the judicial follow-up of illegal occupation of riverbeds, natural resource lands and unauthorized constructions with the aim of preventing flood damage.

Hojjatul-Islam Mohammad Amin Wadhaninia, Deputy Attorney General of the country, in a conversation with Mehr reporter, emphasized the need to prevent damages caused by floods and stated: One of the missions of the prosecutor's office is to follow up on illegal occupations of riverbeds, natural resource lands, and illegal constructions, which is followed with the cooperation of the responsible agencies throughout the country.

He added: Ministries and agencies, including the Natural Resources and Watershed Organization and the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad, are responsible in this area, and they report cases of violations and illegal occupation to judicial authorities for follow-up.

Referring to the measures taken by the country's prosecutors, the Deputy Attorney General of the country said: In cases where riverbeds or their shores are illegally occupied or illegal contracts have been concluded in this regard, the matter will be followed up by the prosecutors and the necessary judicial orders will be issued.

Vahdaninia stated: In the field of crisis management, especially in the flood issue, prediction and prevention of damages is very important, and wherever the country's attorney general's office needs to be involved, the matter is followed seriously.

He emphasized: Prosecutors all over the country are working to deal with the illegal occupation of riverbeds and lands of natural resources and are taking the necessary measures within the framework of legal standards.
