Behind a Controversial Request: Bin Salman's Big 'No' to Netanyahu
Haaretz reported, quoting informed diplomatic sources, that the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, through the mediation of the United States, demanded Israel's participation in the war against Yemen; This effort, according to this source, is aimed at advancing the process of normalizing relations between Tel Aviv and Riyadh. This newspaper quoted one of its sources and reported that Bin Salman rejected the request of the Zionist regime.
According to this report, a diplomatic source said that the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia does not want to receive help from the Zionist regime in the conflict with Yemen, because public cooperation with Tel Aviv could face a negative reaction from Saudi public opinion.
This source also claimed that with bin Salman's opposition, the Zionist regime's military intervention against Yemen has been ruled out.
These developments take place while the administration of Donald Trump, the President of the United States of America, has in recent months repeatedly pursued the plan of Saudi Arabia joining the Ibrahim Agreement and establishing official relations between Riyadh and Tel Aviv.
However, Saudi Arabia's official position is based on the fact that the normalization of relations with the Zionist regime will be possible only after achieving real progress on the path to the formation of an independent Palestinian state.
In this context, some reports tell of Netanyahu's attempt to use Yemen's security crisis in order to bring Saudi Arabia closer to the Zionist regime without considering the Palestinian issue.
Earlier, in the end of September, the American news site Axios claimed, citing two Zionist officials, that a dialogue between Israel and Saudi Arabia has taken place with the mediation of the Central Command of the US Army (CENTCOM) about providing Tel Aviv's intelligence assistance to Riyadh against Yemen.
Also, Zionist sources have reported that recently, in the security meeting of the Zionist regime's cabinet, military officials emphasized the need to focus on diplomatic efforts to form an international and regional coalition led by Saudi Arabia against Yemen.
