Batman II suffered another setback when production on the DC superhero film was halted.

Now, the film's star Robert Pattinson is sharing an update on the upcoming film directed by Matt Reeves.

"Yeah, we're going to take a little break, and then we'll work things out," Pattinson told the Official Pop Drop while promoting Primetime.

On Monday, October 5, Deadline reported that the studio released a statement about the hiatus.

The cast of the Batman sequel includes Robert Pattinson, Andy Serkis and Colin Farrell returning as Batman, Alfred and the Penguin respectively, with newcomers Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Brian Tyree Henry, Jim Lawson, Charles Dance, Gil Perez-Abraham and Gil Perez-Abraham.

During a premiere for The Drama earlier this year, Pattinson teased a sequel to The Batman , telling Deadline, "The script is fantastic. I think it's going to be really, really special and very different."

Pattinson noted that DC's 2022 sequel will be different from the first film, something he was surprised about, adding, "It's going to be interesting to see. It's got big swings."

The Batman Part II is still scheduled for release on February 18, 2028, for now.
