Olivia Rodrigo and Chappelle Roan are officially collaborating on a remix and music video for "Expectations."

Rodrigo confirmed the news on Instagram on Tuesday, sharing a photo of him and Rowan posing in a yellow car with the license plate XPECT8NS. The uptempo track is the 12th track from Rodrigo's latest third album, "You Look Too Sad for a Girl in Love."

"Beyond the announcement of "Expectations" with the presence of Rovan Chapel!!! The song and video were released on Thursday!" Rodrigo wrote in the caption. Rumors of an "Expectations" remix began on Sunday after a German retailer listed the single for sale and quickly removed it. The next day, Rodrigo posted a quick audio clip to his Instagram story that featured a woman's voice saying, "Oh, Olivia's doing a remix now," which some fans suspected was Rowan. Popular in Variety

Rodrigo and Rowan go back a few years, as the latter supported the former on the Sour and Goats tours. Beyond sharing the stage, they've also worked consistently with the same producer, Dan Nigro, and share a bond as respective winners of the Grammy Award for Best New Artist.

Roan recently graced the stage at Rodrigo's Daisy Chain Fields in late August in Irvine, California. Rodrigo personally curated the all-female line-up for the opening night including Doechii, Mitski, Garbage, Breeders and many more. Rowan performed just before Rodrigo's headlining set, which featured guests Sarah McLachlan, Alanis Morissette and Stevie Nicks. Daisy Chain Fields raised $10 million, which was then raised to $20 million by philanthropist Melinda French Gates.

Rowan is holding a two-day fundraiser October 21-22 in Los Angeles to benefit the trans youth and LGBTQ+ communities. Held at the Shrine, the event will feature performances from Lola Young, Caroline Pollack, Tinashe and Mona.

Rodrigo, meanwhile, is currently on his "Unraveled" tour in support of "You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love." The tour is currently underway across North America before heading overseas in March for stops in London, Barcelona and Amsterdam, among other cities.
