Request to Keep the Ethics/Policy Committee Out of French Football!

France's football ethics committee has urged fans to remain neutral during student protests.

According to the report of "Verzeh Se", the ethics committee of the French Football Federation asked football fans to observe the principle of neutrality in the stadiums following widespread student protests across the country. These protests, which have been mostly peaceful, have been accompanied by heavy police action and widespread use of tear gas and batons by anti-riot forces. Until last week, more than 6600 people were arrested during these protests.

The National Council of Ethics and Professional Conduct of French Football announced that Lance fans displayed a banner in protest against "disproportionate and systematic police violence" in the match against Lyon. Also, during the match between Paris Saint-Germain and Le Mans, the fans raised a banner in the 30th minute with the following message: "Your forces suppress and our youths resist."

In its statement, the committee emphasized that it understands the motivation of young fans, many of whom are students, to use football matches as a platform to publicly support the protesters; However, he called for neutrality in the stadiums.

A part of this statement reads: "Sports should bring people together, not separate them from each other. For this reason, the National Council of Football Ethics asks all fans, who are an integral part of the football family, to observe the principle of neutrality in any situation.
