Moscow: The solution to the crisis in Yemen is constructive and comprehensive dialogues
The spokesman of the Yemeni Foreign Ministry pointed out that the circle of conflicts in Yemen should not be allowed to expand and said that the only solution to the crisis in this country is a constructive and inclusive dialogue.
According to the report of Ambassador Arjan, Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry in an interview with Al-Mayadeen Network said: "The increase in tensions in Yemen is a real threat to the security of the region, and the road map agreed in late 2023 through the mediation of Oman can be the cornerstone of resolving the conflicts in Yemen."
According to Ambassador Arjan's narration, he emphasized: There is no substitute for a constructive and inclusive dialogue between all parties involved in the Yemen crisis, and we demand an immediate stop to the conflicts in Yemen and the start of an inclusive negotiation process.
Zakharova added: Moscow will continue its diplomatic efforts with regional partners in order to reduce tension in Yemen.
The spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry emphasized that the circle of conflicts in Yemen should not be allowed to expand and new parties should enter it.
The spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry also said that we continue to support the efforts of Hans Grundberg, the UN special envoy to solve the Yemen crisis, and that a peaceful solution in this country should take into account the interests of all involved parties.
After the military attack on Yemen in 2015, Saudi Arabia imposed a land, air and sea blockade on the country. After that, the United States also joined the blockade in October 2016 and then claimed to have withdrawn from this decision.
Sana'a decided to break the siege on July 14, 1405, and subsequently, Saudi Arabia bombarded Sana'a airport, which met with a strong response from the Yemeni armed forces. The Yemeni army continued to carry out operations, pushing back the forces supported by Saudi Arabia, and succeeded in achieving great victories, including the control of the historical and port city of "Al-Mokha" and the important, strategic and coastal area of Kohbob in the south of this country. This greatly increased the control of the Yemeni army over the strategic strait of "Bab al-Mandab" as one of the most important shipping routes in the world. Yemeni army forces also recaptured some strategic islands from Saudi-backed militias.
These days, clashes between Yemeni army forces and Saudi-backed forces are going on in some areas, including around Taiz.
